What The Colour Orange Means and Why I  Chose It For My Branding

12 Jul 2022

Orange is one of my main brand colours and it’s no coincidence that I chose it. I do love orange and I’m well known for this but my choice goes a lot deeper than orange simply being my favourite colour.

In terms of colour psychology, orange is a powerful colour for inspiring certain emotions and feelings and it feels like a perfect fit for my brand.

So, what does the colour orange mean and stand for and why did I choose it for my branding? You might be surprised to see just how closely it ties with my work as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist!

What Does Orange Mean Psychologically?

One of the many reasons why I love orange so much is the range of emotions it can evoke and the possibilities it represents.

So, what does the colour orange mean? If you’re not familiar with colour psychology, this could be an eye-opener for you!

Orange is a happy colour and it’s linked to people feeling more positive emotions.

Orange always makes me feel happy and it can have just the same effect on you when you come into contact with my branding. And when you’re feeling positive, you’re much more receptive to the changes we can create together.

But it can be so much more than this. Orange is also a colour that helps to “free” the mind and body so that it’s easier to overcome repressed emotions and trauma.

Through my branding colours, your mind is subtly being moved into a place where you can feel able to bring about positive change. Of course, you have to feel ready to make this happen but I love that my orange branding can build on this subliminally.

Orange has other connotations too, especially for confidence, demonstrating new possibilities and the opening of new doors in your life. Just what we want in hypnotherapy since we’re all about positive change!

And lastly, orange is a colour that can encourage creative thinking and motivation, especially around new ideas.

So many of my clients have found themselves stuck in negative thought patterns or unhealthy habits and are looking for a different solution that will help them become the person they want to be. Orange is a subtle but powerful motivator for this.

Orange As a Healing Colour

All of this is possible because orange is a healing colour. If you’re not familiar with healing colours, they have incredible potential to affect mood (for the better!), calm the nervous system, and promote a calm and peaceful environment. It’s one of the reasons why orange is a colour that’s often used in hospitals, especially in paediatric wards.

The combination of healing and positivity linked to orange decor can be so important for recovery.

If you ever see orange decor in a hospital, you know why it’s there!

How This Reflects My Business

With all of this in mind, how does the psychology of orange as a colour reflect what I do and how I run my business?

As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, helping people to change how they think and feel like the best version of themselves is a huge part of my work with my clients and orange is such a fitting colour to reflect this.

After all, one of our big aims in hypnotherapy is to help you to feel more positive and let go of negative thinking and unhealthy habits so you can think and feel differently.

Another goal of hypnotherapy is to improve your confidence and show you a different way of perceiving both yourself and the world around you.

It’s also a warm and friendly colour, which fits my personality and approach to working with my clients. I always strive to make my clients feel completely at ease and fully aware of how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy works, especially if you haven’t experienced hypnotherapy before.

Whether you had any idea or not, my orange brand colour is giving you a lot of insight into my work and the changes that we can create together in our sessions.

If you would like to talk more about how we can work together to help you feel like the real you again, you can book a free discovery call with me.

I would love to help you to feel happier and get your mind working for you, rather than against you!
