Generally speaking anxiety is our response to something we perceive as dangerous or stressful in our lives, often referred to as the fight / flight response. Issues occur when this response is taken out of context or exaggerated to the supposed ‘danger’.

As I have discovered in the past anxiety doesn’t always present itself typically – sometimes it creeps up in the background of your every day life not really giving you any indication until it reaches a point whereby it has to show itself one way or another, ie;  through an anxiety attack.  Symptoms can include chest pains, shortness of breath, sense of panic or dread, dizziness and emotional upset – people can be forgiven for thinking they are having a heart attack!!

However sometimes anxiety built up over time can become the fuel for another condition, for example a specific phobia, Insomnia, OCD or Irritable bowel syndrome.

While most of the time we can manage mild anxiety some people can find it difficult to control their worrying thoughts and it can impact their day to day lives. Once you have been diagnosed with an anxiety condition there are several methods to assist you and Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is one of these.

In SFH we help you to relax and calm your mind bringing your focus back to the things in your world that make you feel happy. This, in turn, helps relieve the symptoms of stress and anxiety enabling your to feel confident and in control again.
We are able to do this in a very short space of time.

During sessions we explain what is happening in the brain when you suffer with an anxiety disorder, this enables you to have a greater understanding of your condition and how we can help you to move forward to a healthier, happier you.

Testimonials

“After struggling for most of my life with very low self esteem, virtually no self confidence, constantly beating myself up and periods of worthlessness, even to the point of not wanting to be here, I decided, after confiding in family and close friends how I felt, and Caron was recommended to me. I decided to text her, as actually speaking to her, was just something I hadn’t the confidence to do and we arranged to meet.

We met, I cried within the first 3 minutes and after an hour of chatting with her, Caron agreed I was suffering from ‘through the roof ‘ anxiety. I scaled myself that day out of 10, as to how I felt.. I was a 4.
Over the following weeks and with Caron’s help, I am now able to cope far better with my anxieties and feelings, and I’m in a far better place today, than I was in Spring.

She taught me to think happier and start doing things that had made me feel good about myself.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caron to anyone suffering from anxieties, problems etc and I can’t thank her enough for helping me the way she has.. she is now my friend” – Angela, Bolton
